Origin

Mumbai, 2007. Four college friends — Ankit, Naman, Mehul, Ronak — walking the city, discovering Joomla, Moodle, Fedora, and the early open web. They decided to participate in the open-source revolution, not just observe it.

Ankit was already leading technology work at Kamyab Infotech. Kamyab’s infrastructure powered experiments. Open Source Group became the experimental development wing — a place for high-risk ideas that don’t always need commercial justification.
